Kalispell, Montana / Ibarra, Spain — September 8, 2025 — LemuGroup continues to consolidate its presence in the competitive US market, one of the most demanding in the world. An environment dominated by large multinationals that require highly productive solutions, advanced automation and agile and responsive technical support.
Aware of this reality, at LemuGroup we have taken a key strategic step, the integration of Converting Equipment International (CEI), LemuGroups first production plant in the United States. This addition reinforces our ability to offer faster technical service, more efficient parts supply and solid local support to our customers across the country.
“Converters need partners who can respond quickly and deliver complete solutions,” said Simon Gross, spokesperson for CEI. “This alliance with LemuGroup gives our North American customers faster access to global technology while opening new doors for CEI equipment and expertise abroad.”
Located at the gateway to Glacier National Park in Montana, CEI, manufactures slitter-rewinders, as well as other high-speed equipment such as RFID insertion and programming, die cutters, digital finishers and hybrid presses. Our equipment is used in virtually every sector that uses labels, from food and beverages, packaging, medicine, pharmacy, nutraceuticals, fuel cells, solar cells, to digital markets. Modular equipment for the narrow web industry.
One of the most notable developments is the CEI BossJet equipped with digital technology, a solution that marks a turning point in label production. This system integrates digital inkjet printing with high-quality embellishment, conversion, and finishing processes in a single pass. The result, maximum productivity, lower operating costs, and the fastest return on investment on the market, ideal for short and medium runs.
The Montana plant not only manufactures state-of-the-art equipment, but also has its own machining facilities. This allows us LemuGroup to offer agile logistics and immediate response times throughout the United States, minimizing wait times and maximizing operational continuity for all customers of LemuGroup.
“Our goal is to build lasting partnerships that help converters compete worldwide,” said Iñaki Larrea, spokesperson for LemuGroup. “With CEI now integrated into LemuGroup, we are building a bridge between North America and the rest of the world that ensures customers benefit from both local support and global innovation.”
With this addition, LemuGroup now has five production plants, one in the United States and four in Europe and as well as two key commercial and technical offices: LemuGroup USA and LemuGroup Headquarters.
Our vision is clear, to continue growing and offering our US customers the highest quality, innovation and proximity.
