E-commerce has been experiencing steady growth in terms of number of users and sales volume, due to convenience, accessibility and improvements in the online shopping experience. Technology and consumer trends have been driving steady growth in e-commerce, and companies have been striving to slowly adapt and offer personalized experiences to customers. 

The in-store pickup option, known as “click and collect” or “buy online, pick up in store” (BOPIS), has evolved and become popular, allowing customers to buy online and pick up products at a physical store. This mode combines the convenience of e-commerce with the speed of physical store delivery.With the rise of online commerce and awareness of sustainability and waste reduction, companies have begun to adopt more sustainable practices in their shipping. This includes the use of recycled or recyclable packaging such as envelopes and paper-based bags. 

LemuGroup's Paper Bags and Envelopes division is fully focused on new online markets (e-commerce, e-retail, delivery, Click&Collect, Fast Food, etc.). The division offers greener and more environmentally friendly alternatives. The equipment is designed to manufacture bags and envelopes exclusively from paper. Instead of relying exclusively on traditional disposable plastic bags, LemuGroup wants to promote the use of reusable and biodegradable bags. The new division has three machine projects: Revolution1, e-comm2 and e-comm3.

LemuGroup's machines are unique in the market. The production process has been thoroughly analyzed and studied to develop machines capable of manufacturing paper bags and envelopes in line and thus reducing manufacturing time and material costs. 

The main objective is to ensure that customers achieve maximum efficiency and performance in their production, so all machines are designed to achieve optimum OEE or Overall Equipment Efficiency. In that sense, LemuGroup has developed servo-driven machines that operate continuously, without stopping, and have a high manufacturing speed, without compromising product quality. 

The machines are equipped with advanced error detection systems, AI Quaility Control, which allows them to identify any problems during the manufacturing process. In case an error is detected, the machine is able to discard the defective product without stopping production. In this way, we ensure that we maintain high productivity and quality in the final product.

The Revolution1machine produces SOS paper bags with flat handles, but bags without handles can also be produced. They are ideal for a variety of industries such as Click & Collect, Grocery, Fast Food, Shipping, Retail and more. 

The e-comm2 equipment manufactures monolayer paper envelopes in line with a tamper evident design. It is specially designed to meet the needs of online commerce, retail and e-commerce.

The e-comm3 equipment in turn manufactures 3-ply padded paper envelopes. The equipment is designed to manufacture the envelopes online. The center layer is a fully recyclable embossed paper, which cushions the envelope and protects the products inside. The machine is easy to set up to facilitate the work of the technicians. The e-comm3 equipment is distinguished by particular features, such as folds that guarantee the inviolability of the envelopes, which arouses the interest of various e-commerce logistics platforms and e-retail.
