About Us
Our way of working involves going hand in hand along the way: we accompany you from the customized design of the machines to the implementation in our customers' factories.
We are a group with over 60 years of experience, born from the union of four family-owned companies specialized in the design, manufacturing, and commercialization of equipment for paper converting and end-of-line automation.
This family-based origin has been key to establishing a close and trustworthy brand. The strategic union of these companies has allowed us to leverage synergies and strengthen our ability to compete in seven industrial sectors.
Currently, the main headquarters of LemuGroup is located in Ibarra, coordinating the operations of our four factories specialized in machinery production. Additionally, we have LemuGroup América, dedicated to providing technical and commercial support.
Ibarra Factory
Talleres Lemu, a family company established in Tolosa in 1963. Since its beginnings, the company has specialized in the manufacture of rewinders. Throughout its 60 years of experience in the paper converting industry, and thanks to its non-conformist spirit and its capacity to develop new processes, it has diversified its product range and opened up to new markets.
Mataró Factory
Tallers Llorens-Planas, a family company established in Mataró in 1953.
Specializes in the manufacture of slitters, rewinders and wide web laminators for special materials, such as self-adhesive paper, laminated films, thin and siliconized paper laminators.
Vitoria Factory
Mida Maquinaria, a family business established in 1993 in Vitoria, Spain, specializes in the design and development of digital finishing machines and equipment, high quality premium labels and RFID technology.
Hernani Factory
Robolan Ingeniería Róbotica was founded in 1997 with headquarters in Hernani, is an engineering company dedicated to the design, manufacture and marketing of products for industrial automation.
CEI Inc Kalispell Factory
CEI (Converting Equipment International), located in Montana, USA, is the first LemuGroup factory in the United States. It manufactures inspector-slitter-rewinders as well as other high-speed equipment, such as die-cutters, laminators, digital finishers and hybrid presses.

We have two offices in America that provide commercial and technical support to customers across the American continent. Our goal is to reach all customers and provide them with responses in a short time.

Talleres Llorens-Planas
Founded in Mataró for the manufacture of wide web rewinders.
1963
Lemu Workshops
It is founded in Tolosa with the initial objective of manufacturing parts for other machinery manufacturers.
1971
The 1st slitter rewinder
Lemu manufactures the first paper roll rewinding machine for calculators of the time / adding machines.
1981
The 1st semi-automatic slitter rewinder
Lemu manufactures the BSA 100 to produce POS rolls.
1993
Mida Machinery
Founded in Vitoria for the manufacture of flexographic presses focused on high quality label finishing.
1993
The first fully automatic slitter rewinder
Lemu manufactures the Robosum to automatically produce POS rolls.
1997
Robolan Robotics Engineering
It was founded in Hernani. It is an engineering company dedicated to the design and manufacture of products for assembly, handling, assembly and industrial automation workshops.
2000
The 1st flexographic printers
4 flexo printers are integrated online in the conversion process.
2006
Lemu acquires Bragernes
Moves all production to Izkaeztegieta, where the Lemu factory had been located since 1989. This acquisition opened the doors to enter more specialized markets. From that moment on, Lemu began to manufacture machinery for converting coreless rolls, used in products such as baking paper, gift wrap and table linen.
2013
1º Automatic packaging system
Lemu manufactures an automatic packaging system to automate the end of line equipment.
2013
Relocation to Ibarra
Lemu moves to a new plant in Ibarra.
2017
Conveq and Lemu
They start collaborating together under the LemuGroup brand in order to expand the market and product range.
2022
Subsidiary LemuGroup America
A subsidiary is opened in the Americas to provide technical and commercial support.

Mida and Robolan become part of LemuGroup
LemuGroup begins to enter the high-end label and line and factory automation market.
